The following software is most frequently used to create a visual accompaniment for a speaker. Keep in mind that there are other uses too, such as creating posters, setting slideshows to play on their own with music, and generating self-explanatory presentations shared online that visitors can click through.

Google Presentations:
A part of the Google Docs suite of free online tools. If you have set up a Google account, you have access to this. This is similar to PowerPoint, but users can collaborate on and share presentations via the Internet. Presentations can be downloaded to PowerPoint.
